Decentralization

And its impact on the future

Web3 technologies are ushering in a new era of decentralized systems that are more coordinated and operationally functional than ever before. This evolution enables new forms of governance and organizations, community-owned-and-operated products and services, robust economies, and countless other innovations.

The key to these systems success lies in their ability to empower communities with the benefits of decentralization, including more equitable ownership, reduced censorship, and increased diversity.

How can Cyberskies move towards decentralization and empower communities?

Asset Ownership

In the context of decentralized economies, assets are the means by which individuals and organizations can coordinate activity and share in the value they create. By aligning incentives between developers, contributors, and consumers, assets enable communities to build the products and services they need to thrive. When individuals and organizations are able to hold and transfer digital assets, they can more easily engage in economic activity that creates value for all participants.

Digital Assets

Between the range of digital products, we are creating a series of augmented and virtual reality experiences that empower users with items and resources with the cyberpunk aesthetic and exclusive Cyberskies theme.

Our main interest lies in gamification and digital identity. That is, digital assets with utility in a gaming or gamified ecosystem and digital assets that represent the user digitally while preserving their privacy.

Physical Assets

Most digital assets can be brought into the physical world. Although this is not a goal today, it is an option that can be explored in the future if it makes sense for our community.

Interoperability

We build our assets in web-friendly formats such as jpeg/png for bitmaps and glb/gltf for 3D models. This allows for maximum interoperability directly through the user's wallet. You can already see this in practice in our hangar.

Project Governance

A decentralized autonomous organization (DAO) is a group of people organized around a shared mission that uses blockchain technology to coordinate their efforts. By enforcing a set of rules on the Cyberskies' governance, our project can strive without a traditional hierarchy or centralized authority.

DecentralizedAutonomousOrganization

(adjective) / diːˈsɛntrəlʌɪzd / - Controlled by multiple agents, equally.

(adjective) / ɔːˈtɒnəməs / - Having the freedom to govern oneself.

(noun) / ɔːɡ(ə)nʌɪˈzeɪʃ(ə)n / - A group of people with a unifying purpose.

Through our DAO, holders can work together to achieve a common goal. This is made possible by governance mechanisms that transform the community's will into decisions. Governance mechanisms take many forms, such as votes, polls, review committees, reputation and influence granted to members, etc.

All of these interactions between holders should lead to an effective decision, with a successful governance process resulting in a consensus. This, in turn, provides legitimacy to the decisions implemented.

Our ecosystem is not only limited to original products. Cyberskies' DAO can also be used to acquire new, cyberpunk-related products. Our main acquisition interests are currently games, infrastructure, and fashion.
